Welcome to Aurich, the green town at the heart of East Friesia!!

The logo developed by the town marketing office should make that clear: The Aurich-Eye, as it is called, shows the seven islands of the North Sea coast as the eyelashes, the eye itself stands for East Friesia and the iris is Aurich. Would you have recognised it?

This logo underlines Aurich`s geographical position: only a short distance from the North Sea coast, not far from bigger cities, but set at the heart of the East Friesian countryside.

Because of this Aurich has been able to win many hearts, including many non-Friesians!
